Rose Mary Anderson Tillman

Rose Mary Anderson Tillman, 95, of Victoria, passed away on Tuesday, August 18, 2020. She was born in Victoria, Texas to the late Eugene and Annie Davis Anderson on July 22, 1925. She worked as a Medical Aid in nursing homes for a number of years. Rose was involved in the Palestine Baptist Church Choir, Vacation Bible School, Mt. Zion Baptist District Association in Cuero, as well as being a Sunday School Teacher.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Tillman, sisters; Lucille Gardley, Thelma McPherson, Lucinda Stafford, Laurine Cunningham, brothers; Eugene Anderson Jr., Ned Anderson and Charles Anderson.

Rose is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Marion and Mary Anderson as well as 3 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 14 great great-grandchildren, all of whom will cherish her memory.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. on Friday, August, 28, 2020 at Colonial Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 29, 2020 at Palestine Baptist Church with Rev. Wyatt officiating. Interment will immediately follow. Arrangements under the direction of Colonial Funeral Home.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Marion O’Neal Anderson, Albert Anderson, Hayward “Ruste” Robinson, Otis Jackson, Sy Anderson, William O’Neal Anderson, and Marqual Williams. Honorary Pallbearers will be her granddaughter, and great granddaughters.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given in her honor to Palestine Baptist Church.
