Ruth I. Boehm

Ruth I. Boehm, 90, of Victoria, passed away Monday, December 29, 2014. She was born on May 12, 1924 in Goliad to the late William Robert Hasdorff and Hulda Jank Hasdorff. She married Herman Boehm on June 25, 1942 in Victoria. She was a housewife and raised 4 wonderful children on the farm. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Victoria, and loved to play bingo, visit her family and crafting.

Ruth is survived by her son, Dennis Boehm and wife, Dorothy of Victoria; two daughters, Beverly Rodriquez and husband, Joe Frank of Port Lavaca, and Barbara Martin and husband, Paul of Sandia, Texas, daughter-in-law, Linn Boehm of Victoria; 6 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and sister, Gladys Boehm of Goliad.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Herman Boehm; son, Leslie Boehm; brother, Alvin Hasdorff; and sisters Viola Thamm, Nadine Thamm, Florine Ruschhaupt, and Bernice Wilkinson.

The family will receive friends at Rosewood Funeral Chapels from 6:00 – 7:00 pm on Friday, January 2, 2014. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm. Mass of Christian burial will be at 2:00 pm Saturday, January 3, 2014, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Msgr. Celestino Say and Rev. John Kollammur concelebrating. Interment will follow at Resurrection Mausoleum.

Pallbearers will be Chuck Burdick, Jeffery Boehm, Derek Martin, Jami Martin, Nick Koenig and Taylor Mills. Honorary pallbearers will be Kimberly Koenig and Lauren Mills.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Our Lady of Lourdes Restoration Project, American Cancer Society or charity of your choice.
