

Samuel Griffith, 89, of Victoria passed away December 5, 2015. He was born July 14, 1926 in Minneola, Kansas to the late Tom and Elizabeth Griffith. Mr. Griffith was the Assistant Plant Manager for Union Carbide for many years before retiring in 1991. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy and was a member of the First Christian Church.
Samuel is survived by his sons, Tim Griffith and wife Kathy of Victoria, and Steve Griffith and wife Wendy of Sugarland; brother, Tom Griffith of Marquette, Michigan; grandchildren, Chris and Shawna Griffith of San Antonio, Timothy Griffith of Kyle, and Adam Salcedo of Creedmore; great-grandchildren, Natalie and Olivia.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Patricia Louise Griffith and a granddaughter, Jonna Paige Salcedo.
A time of visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 from 7 to 8 pm at Rosewood Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at 10 am from the First Christian Church with Rev. Doug Richardson officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be his three grandchildren, Chris Griffith, Timothy Griffith and Adam Salcedo and his friends, Jim Dusek, Mark Meek and Kent Grier.
Memorial donations may be made to the First Christian Church.
