Samuel Earl Heller

Samuel Earl Heller, 84, passed away peacefully on August 4, 2018. He was born April 25, 1934 in Victoria to the late Samuel and Katharina Huber Heller. He was married to Ethel Littlefield on December 31, 1957 in Victoria. Sam served his country in the United States Army. He was an experienced welder and retired from H. B. Zachary in the mid 90’s. He was a member of the Faith Family Church.

He is survived by his two sons, Earl Heller of Austin, Lloyd Heller and his wife Pamela, of Liberty Hill; his grandson, Hutson Heller of Seattle, WA; and his sister, Esther Heller of Victoria. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel Littlefield Heller, his brother, John Heller and sisters, Margaret Stange and Lynette Buchholz.

Sam enjoyed fishing, hunting and being outdoors and maintained his garden and fruit trees into his 80’s. He was intuitively smart and solved work and home related problems in inventive ways.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at Tivoli Cemetery.

Honorary pallbearers will be David Gajer, Jason Mutchler, Randy Heller, Otis Nolan, Gerald Nolan and Ernest Nolan.

Memorials may be made to Faith Family Church or Hospice of South Texas.
