

Victoria- Santiago “Jim” Flores (Popo), 80 of Victoria passed away, June 18, 2014. He was born May 8, 1934 in Laredo, Texas to the late Jesus and Agapita Flores. Mr. Flores was a member of Our Lady of Victory Cathedral for over 30 years and proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War.
Popo is survived by his daughters, Amelia “Amy” Cantu and husband Danny of Edinburg, and Selina Reyna and husband Robert of Victoria; his son, Adrian Flores of Austin; sisters, Carmen and Nelda; brother, Leo Flores; grandchildren, Nathaniel Cantu, Jonathan Cantu, Iliana Reyna, Anastasia (Annie) Flores and Elliott Flores. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Flores was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife, Epimenia “Eppie” Flores.
A Rosary will be recited at 7 pm on Friday, June 20, 2014 at Rosewood Funeral Chapel. Funeral Mass will be held at 9:30 am on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at Our Lady of Victory Cathedral. Burial with full military honors will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Adrian Flores, Elliot Flores, Danny Cantu, Nathaniel Cantu, Jonathan Cantu, Abel Alvarez, Guadalupe “Lupe” Solis and Robert Reyna.
