Sharon Kay Kozielski Hardin entered eternal rest on August 7th, joining the Lord she loved so deeply. She was born on July 31, 1958, in San Antonio, Texas. On August 7, 1976, she married the love of her life, Andy Hardin, and together they were blessed with their greatest joy—a beautiful set of twins, Kelly Lorance and Melissa Rivera.
Sharon’s life was centered on faith, family, and service. She was ever-present in the lives of her children and their friends, opening her heart and home to many. Nothing brought her more joy than hearing the sweet voices of her grandsons—Andrew, Jax, and Nolan—calling out “Hi, Nana!” They were truly the sunshine of her life.
Her dedication to education led her to serve in the school system, beginning with Region III and Victoria ISD, and later retiring from Westhoff ISD. Her kindness and encouragement touched countless students, colleagues, and parents throughout the years.
Sharon was an active member of Saint Michael’s Catholic Daughters, always willing to serve and uplift her church community. She also found joy in volunteering at Whispering Oaks, where she delighted residents by calling Bingo—a pastime she dearly loved.
She faced a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer, meeting each day with strength, grace, and unshakable faith.
Sharon is survived by her husband of 49 years, Andy Hardin; daughters, Kelly Lorance and Melissa Rivera (James); and her cherished grandchildren—Andrew Rivera, Jax Lorance, and Nolan Lorance. She is also survived by her mother, Elizabeth Loos; father, Joe Kozielski (Lillian); sister, Veronica Parr (Lonnie); and her beloved mother-in-law, Doris Hardin. She leaves behind many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, all of whom lovingly called her “Aunt Sharon.”
She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Paul Loos; father-in-law, Wayne Hardin; and nephew, John Hardin—each holding a special place in her heart.
Her crown in Heaven is well-earned, and her joy now complete in the presence of her Savior.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to a fund at TDECU for Sharon’s beloved grandsons, whom she cherished beyond measure.
A Memorial Mass will be held Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at 10:00 am at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Cuero, TX.
A Celebration of Life will be Thursday, August 21, 2025, at First English Lutheran Church in Victoria, TX, at 6:00 pm.
