Sherry Lynch, born on October 20, 1948 in Fort Worth, TX, passed away on May 20, 2026 at 77 years old, holding the hands of her loved ones. Sherry was loving, artistic, fun and had the greatest sense of humor. She loved her family, animals, theater, traveling, nature, watching storms, and relaxing on the porch.
Sherry received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Texas and shared her artistic talent with the world as an actress and teacher. Sherry was larger than life both on and off stage. Locally, she was a leading lady in several musicals at the community theater including Mame, Anything Goes, and Gypsy. She was a speech and theater arts teacher at Howell Middle School for 20 years, leading her students to victory year after year in the speech and theater arts tournament. She also won many tournaments during her years as a golfer. Sherry could always find the humor in every situation and brought the gift of laughter to everyone who crossed her path, making the world a brighter place.
As a wife, mother, “Momo”, and sister, she filled our lives with love, entertainment, and laughter. She is forever loved and remembered by her husband of 45 years Fred Lynch, son Shane Bashaw, daughter Waverly Lynch, daughter-in-law Bo Bashaw, grandson London Bashaw, sister Virginia Sanders, brother Charles Schrempf, brother-in-law Stan Sanders, dog Spirit, granddog Doc, and extended family and friends.
She was greeted in heaven by her father Joseph “Curly” Schrempf, mother Margaret “Peggy” Schrempf, and many beloved pets.
