Sophia L. Perez

Sophia L. Perez, 82, passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2019. She was born in Woodsboro, Texas on August 7, 1936. She is the daughter of Alfonzo Lopez and Luciana Lopez Lopez. She was self-employed as the owner of Sophia’s Unique Janitorial Services until her retirement. Sophia was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Cathedral. She truly enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Sophia is survived by her daughters, Linda Camacho and her husband John of Lamarque, Texas; Debbie Pizana and her husband Pete, Jr of Victoria, and Angie Hernandez and her husband, Michael of Victoria; her sons, Noe L. Perez and his wife Sylvia, of McAllen, Texas and John Perez and his wife Cindy of Buda, Texas; sister, Yolanda L. Oriley of Port Lavaca, Texas; and brother, Alfonzo “Sammy” Lopez of San Antonio, Texas. Sophia will lovingly be remembered by her grandchildren, Michelle, Robert, Rene, Rhodina, Peter, Destiny, Noe III, Nicholas, Jessica, Jacob, John Jr., Manny, Bianca, Joshua and Victoria; great grandchildren, Eddie, Ely, Kaylie, Kaylin, Aden, Gavin, Lexie, Jordan, Brooklyn, Shawn Jr., Noe IV, Juliana, John III, Desiree, Evelyn, Robert and Mickey; and great-great grandchildren, Mila and Emma.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughters, Jerri Lynn Perez and Sophia Perez Martinez; grandchildren, Jason Camacho, Shawn Martinez and John Camacho, Jr.; and father of her children, Noe C. Perez.

The family will gather for a visitation from 5 to 7 pm followed with a Rosary to be recited at 7 pm on Thursday, June 6, 2019 at Colonial Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, June 7, 2019 at Our Lady of Victory Cathedral. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be John Perez Jr, Manny Perez, Noe Perez III, Robert Pizana, Rene Pizana and Joshua Hernandez. Share memories with the family at colonialfuneralhomevictoria.com
