October 3, 1985 – July 2, 2025
Teresa Ann Snider, age 39, passed away on Wednesday, July 2, 2025.
From the very beginning, Teresa was a blessing. Born on October 3, 1985, she brought joy and light into the lives of her parents, who always described her as a happy, busy child, full of curiosity and creativity. Whether following her parents around, painting wooden blocks in her daddy’s workshop, or learning to cook and sew at her mother’s side, Teresa embraced every opportunity to learn, grow, and express herself.
As she got older, her zest for life only deepened. Teresa explored many passions—from modeling and swimming to playing soccer and camping. She was always ready to try new things and met every experience with courage and an open heart. Her adventurous spirit was matched only by her deep compassion for others. With a heart of gold, Teresa would give the shirt off her back to a friend in need and was always ready with a helping hand or a radiant smile.
A proud Girl Scout, Teresa earned both the Silver Award and the prestigious Gold Award. Some of her fondest memories were made hiking and camping at Lost Maples with her troop—experiences that helped shape her resilience and love of the outdoors.
During her teenage years, Teresa was actively involved in the fashion and modeling industries. She was a member of the Victoria Mall Teen Board for three years, where she joyfully modeled fashions for local stores and found confidence in self-expression and style.
In her adult life, Teresa’s kind spirit continued to shine. She recently became involved with CASA, where she was deeply passionate about advocating for children in need. She poured her heart into that work and found great fulfillment in making a difference.
Teresa’s greatest love was her husband, Erik. Their bond was unwavering, and she was by his side through every challenge. When Erik became ill, Teresa never left him, sleeping on the floor of the ER and holding his hand through every moment. His passing left her heartbroken, but her strength and grace carried her forward, determined to honor his memory by living a life full of meaning and compassion.
Teresa will be remembered for her beautiful smile, her generous heart, and her endless willingness to give, love, and serve. Her presence was a gift to everyone who knew her, and her memory will live on in the lives she touched.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Erik Snider; her father, William “Nick” Nichols; and her sister, Deborah Saunders.
Teresa is survived by her mother, Martha Hanselka Nichols; her siblings, William “Bill” Nichols and wife Debbie, John S. Nichols and wife Donna, and Melanie Stolte; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
A celebration of Teresa’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CASA in Teresa’s memory.
