So very sorry to hear of Troy's passing.  Janet, Troy and I attended this outdoor Gary Clark Jr show back in March 2013 in San Antonio, TX.  What a blast we all had being VIP's that day.  My friendship with Janet goes back many years, and this was the first time for me meeting her husband.  Troy and I became instant friends that day, and I am grateful my friendship with Janet  has stayed strong all these years.  My condolences to Troy's family and friends, and especially to my great friend Janet.

I know he was a good man because my friend Janet loved him so very much.  She was so fortunate to have had a lasting love to share.  And he was too.  I am grateful to see the love and wonderful life shared here and memories forever.  God Bless and keep you and your beautiful family.

As I remember him.
He LOVED food!!  We would chat at length of all the eateries in Denver.   MnD's, The supper club, all the great ones along five points.  He loved my homemade tamales.  And we both LOVE Hendrix!!!!
I know he didn't spend too much time on the phone, but when he got to talking about something he liked, he would spring up like a newly sprouted tulip.
 - Janet, you are one phenomenal woman.  The things you endured AND holding on to a full-time, demanding secular job.  Then change to caregiver,  landlord, accountant & wife on your personal time.  My hat goes off to you. 
I know your house will not be the same without him.
I love you my friend.

My brother from another mother you will be Truly missed we grew together from elementary school and spending nights at Zion Baptist Church hanging out having sleepovers at my house and yours and in the back of Mr. Fields old station wagon even as we grew up together ride on mini bikes and acting crazy you’ll be missed and truly loved always love you, my brother.

To my Cousin Rodrick Grove and Family! The Grove family is here to support you during this difficult time. The Grove family has been through many trials, tribulations and our Genuine Love for each other. When I got the phone call that Troy earned his Crown, I was devastated!! I thank God for the many Blessing that he gave us together!! I always thanked you in person when you stood by me through a difficult time in my life. I’m so glad that I did. I will miss your phone calls here to Atlanta Ga. , talking on the phone with Walt and I. We stayed on the phone laughing and listening to good music. I Love you cousin. Give all the Grove family a kiss for me. Now you are back together with Aunt Jessie, (mom) Uncle Troy (Dad) Ronald (brother) and Angie (sister). Rest in peace baby!! I love you.
