After a long hard-fought battle with cancer, Ursulita R. Amador passed away peacefully in comfort of her home surrounded by her family on March 25, 2023 in Victoria, Texas at the age of 78. She was born on October 21, 1944 in Cuero, Texas to the late Trinidad Sr. and Elvira Rocha. She was happily married to Raymond Amador, Sr. for the last 62 years.
She took pride in her position at Dairy Treet as head cook for 40+ years. She attended the extracurricular activities of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ursulita had a bright and energetic personality and was known for her ability to sense when people needed her help. She touched so many lives with her generosity and passion for life.
Ursulita is survived by her husband, Raymond Amador; sons, Raymond Amador, Jr. (Geeta C.) and Johnny Amador, Sr. (Norma); daughters, Cynthia Amador, Mary Santana (Felix, Jr.), Delores Torres (Richard, Jr.); and Brenda Herrera (Joe); 27 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren. Ursulita is also survived by a large extended family, numerous siblings and friends.
Ursulita was preceded in death by her daughters, Margaret Arriaga and Sandra Pena; father, Trinidad Rocha, Sr.; mother, Elvira Rocha; and brother, Trinidad Rocha, Jr.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 30, 2023 at The Cathedral of Our Lady of Victory at 12:00pm, followed by rosary at 12:30pm. Funeral mass will be held at 1pm, with burial to follow at Resurrection Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Raymond Amador. Jr., Johnny Amador, Sr., Felix Santana, Jr., Richard Torres, Jr, Joe Herrera and Manuel Ramos. Honorary pallbearers are Albert Anzualda and Juan Miguel Gonzales.
