Vera Lee Lott McDade, 89, of San Antonio Texas, entered eternal rest July 30, 2026. She was born March 15, 1937, in Victoria Texas to the late Archie LaVera and Bessie Arthella Lott. A graduate of Victoria’s G.W. Gross High School, Vera lived life to the fullest. Her hobby, bowling on multiple San Antonio teams supplied her thirst for fun and competition. Vera was a nurse by profession but enjoyed traveling the world as a military spouse. In October 1990, she joined the Lions club where she held multiple positions including worldwide Ambassador. Additionally, Vera, through the Alamo City Lions club arranged mobile eye care mobile drives and yearly scholarships distribution supporting the underserved in the community. Her favorite pass times activities were bowling, playing various card games.
Vera leaves her children Ethel R. Williams, Steven E. McDade; grandchildren Christopher D. Williams, Jennifer L. McDade, Triniti R. McDade; great grandchild Camaurie D. Williams, a host of family, extended family, and friends to cherish her memory. Preceded in death: Archie and Bessie Lott (parents) Michele McDade (daughter).
Memorial service to be held Friday, August 21, 2026, 1:00 p.m. at Rosewood Funeral Chapels, Victoria, TX.779041 Rev. Walter Gant officiating. Interment: Memorial Park Cemetery 2201 N Main St, Victoria, Tx 77901. Repass to follow after burial at Rosewood funeral home.
