Vera Lee Lott McDade, 89, of San Antonio, Texas, entered eternal rest on July 30, 2026. She was born March 15, 1937, in Victoria, Texas, to the late Archie LaVera and Bessie Arthella Lott. A graduate of Victoria’s G.W. Gross High School, Vera lived life to the fullest. Her hobby, bowling on multiple San Antonio teams, supplied her thirst for fun and competition. Vera was a nurse by profession but enjoyed traveling the world as a military spouse. In October 1990, she joined the Lions Club, where she held multiple positions, including the role of worldwide Ambassador. Additionally, Vera, through the Alamo City Lions Club, arranged mobile eye care drives and annual scholarship distributions to support the underserved in the community. Her favorite pastimes were bowling and playing various card games.
Vera leaves her children, Ethel R. Williams and Steven E. McDade; grandchildren, Christopher D. Williams, Jennifer L. McDade, and Triniti R. McDade; great-grandchild, Camaurie D. Williams; and a host of family, extended family, and friends to cherish her memory. Preceded in death: Archie and Bessie Lott (parents), Michele McDade (daughter).
