

Veronica “Ronnie” Monclova Cavazos, age 62, passed away Friday, September 5, 2014. She was born January 25, 1952 in Corpus Christi to the late Felix G. and Damiana Gonzalez Monclova. She was a member of Our Lady of Victory Cathedral, and was a volunteer at Our Lady of Victory School. She retired in 2006 form VISD, where she had worked for many years as a Teacher’s Aide and Secretary. Ronnie enjoyed spending time with her family and truly loved her grandchildren with all her heart. She also liked to spend time doing arts and crafts, and crocheting. She was a very giving person, and touched many people’s lives with her kindness and helpfulness. She often put the needs of others before her own. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, Robert A. Cavazos; daughter, Saralynn Cavazos of Victoria; son, Paul A. Cavazos of San Diego, CA; sisters, Georgia Blake and husband Kim, and Rosa Anna Monclova, all of Victoria; brother, Felix G. Monclova, Jr. of Statesboro, GA; and her four grandchildren, Izaiah, Lukas,
Draven, and Haiden.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Melinda Cavazos.
Visitation with the Family will held 6:30 to 7:00 pm, Friday, September 12, 2014 at Our Lady of Victory Cathedral, a Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm followed by a Eulogy. A Memorial Mass Service and private burial will be held at a later date. Honorary Pallbearers include Paul A. Cavazos, Joseph Garcia, Ian Perez, Aaron Consuelo and Anica Rosas.
