The eighth child of ten, Virginia’s formative years during the Great Depression prepared her for the difficult days of World War II. She met and married the love of her life, Elbert J. (Buster) Hargrove and married in August 1945. They settled in Victoria in 1950 and raised their four sons. A busy time ensued that centered around church, volunteering and carrying out her most cherished role as wife and mother.
As the matriarch of a large family that truly loves each other, Virginia accomplished with love, faith and proud dignity a legacy that will continue for generations. Thanksgiving, Virginia’s most favorite holiday, will be a reunion feast in Heaven this year!
