Vivian D. Williams, 77, of Victoria passed away on Friday, September 2, 2011, in Cuero. She was born May 11, 1934, in Victoria County to the late Travis and Samantha Steward Williams. Mrs. Williams was a department manager and then most recently a greeter at Wal-Mart.
She is survived by her daughter, Tracey (Ashley) Carter of Victoria; son, Clint Mumphord of Victoria; sisters, Alma Herron of Victoria, Carol Arkadie of Houston; brothers, John Douglas Williams of Victoria and a grandson, Jevon Dante Carter.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Oakland Pinkney and two brothers, Rev. Elvin Ray Williams and Travis Williams, Jr.
Visitation will be held Thursday, September 8, 2011 from 6-8 pm at Rosewood Funeral Chapels. The funeral service will be at 10 am on Friday, September 9, 2011 at Rosewood Funeral Chapel with Rev. J. C. Williams and Rev. Carl Westbrook officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
