Walter was a fun loving person. If you wanted to know something...he'd be the one to call. Always confidential. His dry sense of humor was great. He will be missed. Condolences to his family.

Walter you are going to be missed but never forgotten. Thank you for being like the brother I never had and NOT turning away from me through the bad times in my life. You were always there no matter what. Thank you for all the many great times/trips you, Debbie , Janet and myself went on. You were such a positive person in my life and I love you dearly for being such a friend. I know you are much better off and have that grin looking down on us. We will meet again someday.

Dear Brother,

My memories are what I have left,
and a lesson I will not forget.

The time has come when time is no more
and all that's left was once before.

The memories so dear and true,
those memories of me and you.

Although we fell and stumbled at times,
all those hills were necessary climbs.

All the times when your heart shined through
are the greatest memories I have of you.

I will always remember you, brother of mine.
In my heart I will keep you, so I will be fine.

I will go forward with my head up high.
It might be hard, I cannot lie.

But in my heart you will be,
moving forward, you with me.

Love, Vincent

I was a partner at Rosewood Funeral Chapels until I retired in May 2016. I have known Walter and his family and been friends since the early 80's. He was a great asset to the Victoria Police Department when he was an police officer there. He always treated everyone with respect when on the street. We had many good times together when I road patrol with him and at my house on Laguna Street he would always bring the kids over to swim. I know he had a passion for training police dogs which he did when he retired from police work. I have witnessed dogs he trained and it was unreal what Walter could make the dogs do. May god bring his blessings upon his entire family.
