William Howard Ellis

William Howard Ellis “Billy” 69 of Victoria, Texas passed away on October 8, 2026. Billy was born in Falfurrias, Texas to Leslie Luis “L.L.” and Doris Mae Ellis on January 28, 1957. He attended school in Premont, Texas. He worked as a gate and security guard for Mariposa Ranch in Falfurrias, Texas for more than 30 years. Billy was a veteran and served in the Air Force.

Billy is preceded in death by his parents L.L. and Doris Ellis and his cat Apache.

Billy is survived by his siblings, Sharon Hoey and husband Steve of Providence Forge, Virginia, Daniel Ellis and wife Karla of Victoria, Texas and Brenda Chamrad and husband Randy of Victoria, Texas. He is also survived by his nieces, Kayce Sellers and husband Roy of Midland, Texas, Shea Daane and husband Bradley of Houston, Texas, Dani Dibona-Hoey and partner Katie of Port Jefferson, New York and Brandy Cavazos and husband Dominic of Victoria, Texas. Billy is also survived by his great nieces, Sydney “Ace” Hyatt, Everleigh Daane and great nephews, Austin Cavazos, Kit Dibona-Hoey, Dominic Cavazos Jr.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2026 at 10:30am at Colonial Funeral Home.

The family of Billy wishes to extend their sincere thanks and appreciation to the staff and professionals of Citizen Medical Center, Sodalis Assisted Living and Remarkable Hospice all of Victoria, Texas. These loving individuals provided great comfort and care for Billy and his family.
