Born on September 3, 1942, in Charleston, West Virginia, to the late William Aubrey and Jean Iris (Hood) Orcutt, William grew up surrounded by close friends, a love of golf, fast cars, and good rock ‘n roll music. He graduated from Victoria High School in 1960 and attended Texas Christian University before proudly serving his country in the United States Army from 1961 to 1963.
Following his service, William began his career at Union Carbide in Seadrift, Texas, where he successfully retired in 2002. William married the love of his life, Nancy Sue Ralls, on May 11, 1968. Together, they had a beautiful and loving 58-year marriage before his passing.
William is preceded in death by his parents, William Aubrey and Jean Iris Orcutt.
He is survived by his devoted wife, whom he adored, Nancy Ralls Orcutt; his children, Stacey Lynn Orcutt Porter and Jeffrey Hood Orcutt; his sister, Donna Lynn Orcutt Lancaster (Gerald); as well as his cherished grandchildren, Grace Elizabeth Porter and Jacob McAdam Porter.
Visitation will be held at Rosewood Funeral Chapel in Victoria, Texas, on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 9:15 a.m., with funeral services following at 10:00 a.m. at the same location, officiated by Pastor Les Cole of LifePointe Fellowship. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Rosewood Funeral Chapel of Victoria, Texas.
Pallbearers for the service honoring William Orcutt's life are Mr. Patrick Erskine, Mr. Chad Leur, Mr. Jacob Porter, Mr. Vincent Porter, Mr. Randall Price and Mr. Robert Soto.
