William Randolph "Randy" Townsend

Randy grew up in Bloomington, graduated from Bloomington High School and was active in sports. Most of his career he worked in construction and oil field, recently he worked as a handyman. Randy loved to fish and spent most of his spare time on the Guadalupe River catching lots of fish!

He is survived by his mother, Carolyn Townsend; daughter, Bonnie Taylor; grandson, Cecil Taylor, all of Victoria; sisters, Evelyn Olson of Victoria and Karen Townsend of Houston.

He was preceded in death by his father and brother, Cecil Owen Townsend.

A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 pm, Sunday, June 21, 2015 at Colonial Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm, Monday, June 22, 2015 at Colonial Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Helms officiating. Burial will follow at Crescent Valley Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Paul Antonsen, John Olson, Cody Taylor, Dwain Mauer, Kevin Dick and Derek Dick. Honorary pallbearers will be Doug Boehl, Larry Leuschner, Buck Faltysek and Gary Grunewald.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to be made in Randy’s memory to defray funeral expenses.
