Woody graduated from Victoria High School and attended Victoria College. He served his country in the U.S. Army Reserves from 1968 – 1974. He opened and managed Woody’s Used Cars until his retirement. He enjoyed bowling and morning breakfast with friends. When you met Woody you never had to worry about carrying the conversation. He may not have always remembered your name but he could remember what kind of car or truck you drove.
He is survived by his wife, Ginger Anders Lorance of Victoria; sons, Woodrow W. “Tripp” (Kelly) Lorance, III of Victoria, Chad Michael Lorance of Houston, Justin Lee (Carissa) Lorance of Bryan; daughter, Stefani Lorance; sisters, Barbara Brignac of Pasadena, Carol Lala of Victoria and three grandchildren, Jax Lorance, Nolan Lorance and Taylor Lorance.
Visitation will be held on Monday September 24, 2018 from 5:30-7:30 pm at Rosewood Funeral Chapels. The family will also receive visitors on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 from noon-1:30 pm at Rosewood Funeral Chapels with the funeral service to begin at 2 pm with Rev. Jim Kee-Rees officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Michael Rogers, Jonathan Anders, Wayne Hunt, Wayne Dierlam, Richard Jones and John Simmons.
