Betty Ruth Bauer

Betty Ruth Bauer, 77 years old, a resident of Barstow, CA for 25 years, was called home to her Heavenly Father on March 7, 2016 at 11:49pm, surrounded by her family. She was the Co-Owner Operator of the Barstow City Taxi, and a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Betty was a lifetime southern California resident. She was born to RuthAnna and Fredrick Bauer on September 26, 1938 in Long Beach, California, where she grew up and roller skated everywhere, and had a love for gospel music. She worked for places such as Douglas Aircraft and was a Bookkeeper for 40 years. She bought a home in Norco, California where she moved her 3 children and raised wild mustangs and dairy cattle. She had a great love for her animals. She is preceded in death by her beloved mother RuthAnna Brymer Bauer, father Fred E. Bauer, and her big brothers whom she adored: Douglas, Edwin, and Gilbert Bauer. Betty is survived by her three children, Garth Rios,Nick Rios, Barstow, and Victoria Hunter. 7 grandchildren, Jessica Hunter, Barstow; Charly Martin and her spouse Stephen Martin, Boise, ID; Eric Olivarez, Norco, CA; Samantha Parsons and her spouse Kevin Parsons, Pearl City, HI; Jacob Rios, Barstow; Jaramiah Rios and his spouse Leanna Morales, Las Vegas, NV; Arianna Rios, Barstow. 12 great-grandchildren, Victoria, Brooke, Blaze, Makenna, Presley, Isabelle, Lillian, Zackary, Christopher, Mikayla, Logan, and Madelynne. Betty was kind, beautiful, and strong. She worked her entire life and gave everything. She is the cornerstone to our family. She will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
