Mrs. Brenda P. Roper

Brenda Roper passed away peacefully on August 19, 2026, at the age of 66. Born on May 8, 1960. Brenda lived her life to the fullest, meeting every challenge she faced with grace, dignity, and unshakable courage. She was a source of guidance and empowerment to everyone who needed strength, and she never gave up on anyone.

Brenda had a true passion for numbers and built a fulfilling career as a CPA and CFO before starting and running her own tax business. She touched countless lives along the way and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Brenda is survived by her husband, Napoleon "Nappy" Roper (affectionally called Roper Head); her four children, Nathan Roper, Kyle Roper, Amber Roper, and Heidi Tatum; her grandchildren, Kylee Roper, Brantley Roper, Emily Tatum, and Rogan Tatum; her sister, Carol Valdez; and her two brothers, Danny Pino and Dennis Pino.

Brenda's life was defined by her strong faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, and by her roles as a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished grandmother. She was known for her radiant smile and her unshakable positivity and determination not only through 10 years of battling cancer and chemotherapy, but through every season of life.

Brenda will be remembered for her love of travel, having taken over 25 cruises, journeyed across the United States, and explored many countries. She loved fishing, and of course, she loved to shop. A true fashionista, Brenda was always polished, red lips, high heels, nails, and lashes never out of place.

She cherished every relationship she built, whether with family, friends, her entire medical team, or strangers who quickly became friends. Brenda was a "poster child" for cancer survivors, beating the odds and living with ovarian cancer for over 10 years, all while living life exactly as she wanted to live it.

Brenda often said: "Just because you're diagnosed with cancer doesn't mean it's a death sentence. You need to have hope, you need faith, and you need to live."
