Carmen Orozco Carroll, 82, a resident of Hesperia, California, was born June 11, 1944, and died August 4, 2026. Carmen will be remembered with deep respect and enduring affection for a life marked by quiet gentleness, steady thoughtfulness, and a kind-hearted presence that brought comfort to those around her. Alongside her warmth ran a subtle, well-timed humor—often expressed in the simplest moments—that made time with Carmen feel lighter and more human.
Carmen was married to her husband, Edward Carroll, who passed in 1999. She leaves behind two children, Edward and Alexander Carroll, as well as her granddaughter, Ataraxia Carroll. She is also survived by her brother and his wife, Alexander and Joyce Orozco; her brother-in law, Raymond Ha; and her daughter-in law, Arkeceion Carroll.
In the rhythms of everyday life, Carmen found meaning in patient, careful work. She enjoyed crocheting and making rosaries—hands busy with craft, heart attentive to what those creations could represent. She also took delight in her daily ritual of hunting for coins in the coin return, a small habit that reflected her practical spirit and her ability to find a bit of amusement in ordinary places.
