

Dolores M. Leonhard, a 53-year resident of Apple Valley, CA, passed away peacefully at home on February 12, 2024, from complications of Alzheimer’s and Dementia. She was born on September 29, 1928, in Ladysmith, Wisconsin.
She met the love of her life Alvin Leonhard, in Wisconsin and had daughter Patrricia and son Gerald there. They moved to Garden Grove, Ca in 1957 while pregnant with son Steven. Troy was born in 1961.
Dolores was a head maid at the Fire Station Inn in Garden Grove, worked at a convalescent Hospital in Victorville and was part owner of the Chief Desert Lodge with her Husband Alvin in Apple Valley for 5 years. They also had an Arcade and Soda Fountain – the first in the High Desert. Dolores was a crafter for many years, selling her wares at Farmers Markets in the High Desert and Big Bear.
Dolores is predeceased by son Steven in 1975, Granddaughter Sara in 1987, husband of 51 years Alvin in 1999 and daughter Patricia in 2003. She is survived by sons Gerald (Kate) of Idaho, Troy of Apple Valley, Granddaughter Nikki of Arizona, Adam, Kyle, Cody, Casey and 3 Great Grandchildren.
She will be dearly missed and forever remembered for her loving, caring and nurturing personality.
Internment will be Monday, March 4, 2024, at 2 p.m. at Desert View Memorial Park and Mortuary in Victorville, CA.
