Dorothy Marie Bauer

Dorothy was born July 27, 1939 in Milwaukee Wisconsin to Norma & Morris Ramsburg. She was a graduate of Waukesha High School in Waukesha, WI. In 1962, she married Frederick Bauer and had 2 children, Dave and Susan. In 1984, she earned her LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) from WCTC in Waukesha WI. And in 1986, Dorothy and her daughter moved to Phoenix, AZ where she worked for the Phoenix VA for 21 years, retiring in 2006.

After retiring, she moved to Victorville California, closer to her Son and family. In her spare time, she enjoyed volunteering at the VNA, Visiting Nurses Association of the Inland Counties in Victorville, where her daughter in-law, Michele worked.

Dorothy is survived by her 2 children - Dave and Susan, 3 grandchildren – Leann, Justin and Trista, and 2 great grandchildren – Tatum and Marley, and numerous other beloved family members. She is preceded in death by her 2 parents and 3 older sisters.

Besides enjoying time with her family, Dorothy loved to paint, play bingo, go to exercise class and walk as much as she possibly could! She loved watching the Golden Girls and was a Green Bay Packer fan until her final days.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial service for Dorothy on Saturday November 20, 2021 at 1000 hours at Desert View Funeral Home, 11478 Amargosa Road, Victorville, CA 92392. Prior to her Memorial service, Dorothy will be laid to rest with a small graveside service on November 10, 2021 at 1000 hours at Wisconsin Memorial Park, 13235 W. Capitol Drive, Brookfield, WI, 53005.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in honor of Dorothy, to Community Hospice of Victor Valley, 16147 Kamana Rd, Apple Valley, CA 92307.
