On March 18, 2024, the humble sweet spirit of our beloved father, Edward Amos Trammel Sr. was called home by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Ed was born on March 31, 1933, to the late Emory and Gretchen Trammell in Purcellville, Va. After graduating from Douglass High School in the late 1940s, he enlisted in the United States Air Force. While in the Air Force, he met the love of his life Kathleen Caroline Andruss. They married in 1955, and from this union he was proud to father daughter Valerie Pearl and 10 biological children: Edward Jr, Terry Lee Sr, Ira, Pauline, Doris, Charles Sr, Gregory, Sandra, Wendy, and Gretchen.
Ed retired from the Air Force in 1972 from George AFB in Victorville, Ca; after serving 20 years and 24 days. Ed’s life was just getting started. He received a Social Science degree from Victor Valley College in 1978 and continued his employment as a heavy equipment operator in San Bernardino County, where he retired after 20 years. His love of God led him and his wife Kathleen to join the United Methodist Church in Victorville. His love of singing led him to join the choir. With his regal baritone Ed led many vocals.
Ed loved all sports, his country, the Lord, and he loved his family with every fiber in his body.
Ed was preceded in death by his devoted wife Kathleen, sons Terry Lee Sr., Ira; daughters: Pauline and Valerie and beloved siblings Elston (Snookie), Jeanette (Kitty), Pauline, and Bernice.
