It is with a heavy heart that we must say goodbye to our wonderful, loving, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Ella Winona Wallace was born May13, 1934 in Brownfield, Texas and went peacefully home to be with the Lord on March 27, 2016 at the age of 81. Ella was raised by her parents, Thomas and Hazel Wood, along with her sister Betty in Brownfield, Texas. After high school, she married the love of her life, Sammy Lynn Wallace on July 25, 1952. They spent 38 wonderful years together until Sam’s passing in 1990. They started their life together in Texas, where both of their sons were born. In 1962 they moved to Denver, Colorado and then finally settled in Fullerton, California in 1967 where they raised their sons Gary and Greg. In 1984 they moved to Apple Valley, CA where they spent the rest of their days together. Family meant everything to Ella. Her husband and sons were her world. Once the grandchildren started coming, she was over the moon. She loved and adored each one and they felt blessed to have her for their grandmother. Just last year, she welcomed twin great-grandsons! Besides the grandchildren, there was something else Ella was passionate about…Spring and Fall. They were the only two seasons that matter to Ella. Spring was for the Los Angeles Angels and fall was for the Denver Broncos. Saying that Ella was an avid Angels fan is putting it mildly. She loved her team, loved going to the games and loved for her favorite player, Mike Trout. If there was a game on TV, she was right there watching ever pitch. The same can be said about her Broncos. She loved her team, watched every game and was thrilled to watch them win this year’s Super Bowl and see Payton’s last game. She will be the biggest Angels and Broncos fan in heaven, no doubt about that! Ella was preceded in death by her loving husband Sammy, her devoted son Gary, her parents and sister. She is survived by her loving son Gregory, her grandchildren Daniel, Thomas, Megan and her husband Travis, and Candace, along with her Candace’s children Leo and Tucker. Ella adored spending time with her new twin great-grandsons and they brought her great joy and comfort after recently losing her son Gary. Ella was by all accounts an incredible and amazing woman with endless love for her family. She will be loved and dearly missed by her loved ones and all who knew her.
