

ERIC P. HUG, was born on February 11, 1926 in Victorville, California and passed away quietly in Assisted Living/Hospice Care on January 21, 2024. He was the son of WILLIAM and EVELYN HUG. His wife, MARILYN, of over 50 years predeceased him. His brothers and sisters-in-law, WILLIAM HUG, JR. (CATHIE) and RICHARD HUG (LOIS) predeceased him as well as his parents. ERIC is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, CARYL KAY (JERRY), and son and daughter-in-law, ERIC HUG, JR. (LORI), 3 living grandsons, ALAN (PETERANN) and RYAN (ELIZABETH) KAY and DERRICK HUG, deceased grandson, BRYANT HUG. He also is survived by eight great grandchildren, BRIANA, WILLIAM and ALYSSA KAY, WESTON and PARKER KAY and EMMA, TITUS and EZRA HUG. Also extended step family.
ERIC P. HUG was a WWII Navy Veteran serving in the Navy from February 10, 1944 to 1946. He had various occupations before settling in at SOUTHWESTERN PORTLAND CEMENT now CEMEX as an Electrician then Control Room Operator from 1951 to retirement in 1988. ERIC lived most of his almost 98 years as a Victorville resident and resided in the same home on Merrill St. for more than 70 years.
He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and uncle to seven nieces and nephews, and their families. He enjoyed telling stories that grew as time went by, being around and having family visit, and patriarch for many years at family gatherings. He will be missed and was very much loved by family and close friends.
