January 17, 1953 - March 10, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Fernando Flores, beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, who left us peacefully on March 10, 2025, at the age of 72. Fernando was born to Ramiro and Graciella Flores on January 17, 1953, in Texas, and was the oldest of nine children. From a young age, Fernando was known for his outgoing, adventurous spirit, and his loving, caring, and hardworking nature—traits that defined him throughout his life. He had a gift for making friends everywhere he went and touched the lives of countless people with his warmth and kindness.
In high school, Fernando met the love of his life, Debbie, in Orange County. The two were inseparable, and they married in 1970. Together, they built a life full of love, raising five children in Orange County before eventually moving to San Bernardino County. Their journey was one of deep love and partnership, though sadly, Debbie passed in 2011, and their son followed in 2013. Fernando’s love for Debbie remained unwavering, and even after her death, his devotion to her remained just as strong as it was when they first met at the age of 17.
Fernando’s heart carried the weight of these losses, but he always remained a beacon of strength, love, and encouragement for his family. He was loved by many for his caring, selfless spirit, and the joy he spread to everyone around him. He had a smile that could light up a room, and he was always ready with words of encouragement. His love for others was unwavering, and he never judged a soul.
One of his passions was playing pool on Thursdays, a tradition that brought him joy, laughter, and many cherished memories. Additionally, Fernando found great solace in reading the Bible, a practice that deeply rooted him in faith. He was also a dedicated member of the community and served as a board member for the Senior Citizens Club in Victorville, where he made many lasting friendships. Despite the struggles he faced, Fernando always remained a source of positivity and support to others, and his legacy of kindness will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Above all, Fernando’s greatest accomplishment was his children. He shared a particularly close bond with his second-oldest daughter and her family, and he took immense pride in being a father and grandfather. His loving, hardworking nature, along with his strong sense of loyalty and love, left a lasting impact on all who were blessed to know him. He leaves behind 12 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and one angel great-grandchild.
Fernando is survived by his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, and a host of extended family and friends. His memory will forever live on in the love he gave and the lives he touched. He was a man of incredible strength, humility, compassion, and unwavering love. His absence will be deeply felt by all who knew him, and he will be remembered fondly as someone who made the world a better place just by being in it.
Fernando’s spirit will continue to inspire those who loved him, and his smile will forever be remembered. Rest in peace, Fernando. You are loved, you are missed, and you will never be forgotten.
