N. Gloria Del Castillo Fehrs Harvey 5/11/1920 – 1/16/2015 N. Gloria Del Castillo Fehrs Harvey, age 94 passed away January 16, 2015 in Victorville, CA. She leaves behind her five children, William L. Fehrs (Beth), John F. Fehrs, Gloria (Fehrs) Kush, James C. Fehrs (Velen), and Michael D. Fehrs. Grandmother of twelve children, Great- Grandmother of thirteen children, and Great-Great Grandmother of one child; two sisters Francis Willingham and Silvia Del Castillo. Proceeded her in death were parents Francisco Centeno Del Castillo, Enriqueta (Cantu) Del Castillo, first husband John C. Fehrs, Jr., second husband William Harvey; siblings Frank Del Castillo, Madeline Hanson, Helen McDonald. Nisidad Gloria was born and raised in Houston, TX and known as “Dede” to her immediate family. She spent Three exciting years as an American Airline Stewardess at the age of twenty-one. She attended the University of Houston, University of La Verne, and was a teacher for 35 years in Pomona and Victorville, California. She married her first husband in 1944 and moved to La Verne, CA in 1945. She moved to Victorville with her first husband in 1983. She married her second husband, William Harvey, in 1999. Family was her lifelong passion and she cherished thirty-four years of family reunions. Gloria enjoyed traveling across the United States, to Hawaii, Alaska, Panama, Mexico, Germany, Italy, and Russia. She is remembered by her family as a beautiful person inside and out and who always gave completely from her heart. Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of Gloria’s life. Viewing and Rosary Friday, January 23, 2015 at 4:00-8:00 PM, and funeral services Saturday, January 24, 2015 from 10:00-11:00 AM, graveside services from 11:00-11:30 AM, and a reception from 11:30-3:00 PM. All services and reception will be held at Desert View Memorial Park, 11478 Amargosa Rd., Victorville, CA 92392. The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Gloria’s name to The Humane Society of San Bernardino Valley, 374 West Orange Show Road, San Bernardino, CA 92408.
