With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Humberto Cueto, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, who departed this life on December 23, 2024, at the age of 67 at his home in Apple Valley, California. Humberto was born on February 20, 1957, in Jalisco, Mexico, to Guadalupe and Jose Cueto. He was raised in a large, close-knit family where love, faith, and hard work were the foundation of his life.
Humberto was predeceased by his siblings Clementina Robles, Juan Jose Cueto, and Pedro Cueto. He is survived by his dear brothers and sisters, Petra Cueto, Ernesto Cueto, Florentino Cueto, Bernardino Cueto, Leticia Cueto, Alicia Cueto, and Jose Cueto. Humberto was a loving husband to Elvira, the love of his life, with whom he shared a marriage full of devotion and joy. Together, they raised four children: Humberto Jr., Maria, Jesus, and Yesenia, who were the pride of his life. Humberto’s legacy continues through his five beloved grandchildren: Armando, Arianna, Antonio, Juliette, and Jesus Jr.
Humberto was a man of deep faith, finding solace and guidance in his study of the Bible. He was a humble, hardworking, and respectful man, always willing to lend a hand to those in need. His love for his family, his community, and his faith was unwavering.
Among his many passions, Humberto enjoyed caring for his yard, where he found peace in nurturing the plants and watching them grow. He also cherished moments spent studying scripture and engaging in meaningful conversations with those around him. One of his greatest joys was returning to his birthplace, La Fundición, Jalisco, where he felt deeply connected to his roots and enjoyed reminiscing about his upbringing and family history.
Humberto’s favorite color was blue, a reflection of his calm demeanor and unwavering dedication to those he loved. His kindness, integrity, and warmth will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A Funeral and Memorial Service will be held on Monday, January 13, 2025, at 9:00 a.m., followed by a graveside service at 1:00 p.m. All who knew Humberto are invited to join in remembering his life and honoring his legacy.
He will forever be in the hearts of his family and friends, and his memory will continue to inspire all who were touched by his love and faith.
Rest in peace, Humberto. You will never be forgotten.
