Joanne Marie Gray, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 12, 2025. She was born on December 26, 1944, in Massachusetts to George and Helen Weeks, one of two children in the family.
From a young age, Joanne’s vibrant personality and love for life shone brightly. As a child, she enjoyed tap dancing and was known for her outgoing spirit. She remained true to these qualities throughout her life—warm, welcoming, and always ready to speak her mind.
Joanne dedicated 17 years of her career as an Athletic Director at the local high school, where she inspired countless students and colleagues. She was deeply devoted to her family, raising two sons, Bradley and Rodney, and later finding joy in her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Raised in the Catholic faith, Joanne was a member of Our Lady of the Desert and remained steadfast in her beliefs. She loved spending time outdoors, especially camping trips with her family and nurturing her gardens.
Joanne was known for her honesty she never beat around the bush—but those who knew her best understood that her directness came from a place of love. Her family was her life, and she gave her whole heart to them.
Her legacy of love, strength, and devotion will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be interred at Victor Valley Memorial Park, 17150 C St, Victorville, CA 92395.
