Jonnie Mae Peterson

Jonnie Mae Peterson passed away peacefully on March 16, 2026, at the age of 85. Born on January 19, 1941, she was known for her kind heart, strong spirit, and unwavering love for her family. She touched the lives of many and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Earnest and Faye Mars; her biological father, John Heath; her daughter, Debora Coffman-Self; and her son-in-law, Steven Leo Self.

She is lovingly survived by her cherished and faithful companion, her beloved dog, JJ; her sister, Cindy Desy (Larry); her daughter, Tami Coffman-Walker (Kenneth); her grandchildren and their spouses, Woody, Tasia, Kevin, Westley, Kyle, and Kayla; her great-grandchildren, Jeramiah, Paisley, Sophia, Madison, and Austin; as well as her nieces, Andrea and Jennifer, their spouses, and children, Dylan and Janelle, all of whom were a constant source of pride and joy in her life.

Jonnie’s life was characterized by her deep devotion to her family, her resilience through life’s challenges, and her genuine care for others. She built a meaningful career in real estate, where she was respected for her honesty, dedication, and the relationships she formed along the way.

She will be remembered for her warmth, her generosity, and the comfort she brought to those around her. Whether through her kind words, her laughter, or simply her presence, she had a way of making people feel loved and at home.

Her legacy will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, and in the many lives she touched throughout her years.

Open Casket Visitation will be held at Desert View, 11478 AMARGOSA RD, VICTORVILLE, CA 92392, US, on April 2, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 pm, followed by Closed Casket Visitation on April 2, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.

A Funeral Service will be held at Desert View, 11478 AMARGOSA RD, VICTORVILLE, CA 92392, US, on April 2, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm, with a Committal Service at Desert View Memorial Park, 11500 AMARGOSA RD, VICTORVILLE, CA 92392, US, on April 2, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm.
