July 11, 1958 – September 9, 2026
Joseph "Joe" Dmello, 68, passed away on September 9, 2026. He was born on July 11, 1958, to Peter and Annie Dmello, both of whom predeceased him. Joe has four siblings: Philomena Vaz, Clara Rangel, Lino Dmello (deceased), and Romeo Dmello (deceased).
Joe’s early chapter of his career was with British Airways, where he worked for over a decade before migrating to the United States. He felt honoured to meet Prince Philip and tour the royal aircraft while serving in this role, but it is also a sign of how respected and trusted he was by his colleagues and those who knew him best. Joe was such a humble and pure heart that even when recounting this story, his focus was on how tall the prince was, not that he met a monarch’s husband!
In December of 1986, he then migrated from Pakistan to the United States in search of new opportunities and to live with his lovely new bride. Everything Joe did was to support those he loved most in achieving their dreams. He went on to build a career at Kaiser Permanente, starting in environmental services and rising, through years of hard work and dedication, to become a PACS Administrator in Digital Radiology and Cardiology, which is a testament to his determination and his belief that no honest work was beneath him.
Outside of his career, Joe was a devoted family man who loved nothing more than spending time with those he cared about. He had a natural talent for working with his hands, whether tackling home improvement projects or tinkering with computers, and he approached both with the same curiosity and patience. A man of deep faith, Joe was passionate about volunteering with his Church and was always the first to lend a hand to anyone in need, never expecting anything in return. Before his health declined, Joe served as the Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus for Christ the Good Shepherd Church; he remained an active part of the World Apostolate of Fatima until his death.
Above all, Joe will be remembered for his joy. Even in life's darkest moments, he carried a light and humour that could brighten any room and lift the spirits of everyone around him. His laughter, kindness, and generosity touched all who knew him, and his memory will continue to bring comfort and warmth to his family for years to come.
Joe is survived by his beloved wife, Judith L. Dmello, and his son, Jared R. Dmello, and the two family dogs, Jaanu and Nala.
Please see below for funeral services to occur at Christ the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Adelanto, California. Everyone who knew Joe knows that he LOVED his desserts!
