Joyce Evelyn Rogers Strother, 78, of Victorville, California, died at her home May 24, 2016. She was born October 17, 1937 to Mitchel and Lecia Shaw Rogers in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. She had 4 siblings, Eutha Manning, David Rogers, Arthur Rogers, and Mary Ann Dixon. Joyce married Lee Strother April 24, 1959. She was his wife and best friend for 57 years. She graduated from Arkadelphia High School in 1954 and was the Arkadelphia High School Homecoming queen her senior year. She worked with Southwestern Bell Telephone Company for several years. Joyce and Lee have been members of Victor Valley Christian Church for the last 42 years. Joyce is survived by her husband, Lee Strother, daughter, Paula Strother, her grandson, Eli Strother, brother David Rogers, and sister, Mary Ann Dixon. She was preceded in death by her mother, father, oldest sister and youngest brother.
