Although many miles separated us, Aunt Julie was always close to my heart.  She had a smile and laugh that could brighten up any room, it was contagious.  Her beauty was nothing short of a model, but her beauty reached far deeper than skin.  She loved with a deep love and made everyone feel special.  Aunt Julie, I will miss you and I can’t wait to see your beautiful smile again.  

She has risen to meet the creator of all things .....I will love you forever Mommie.....you are so missed....May the angels sit on your pillow,....and still leave room for you.....Forever and ever I love you.....Sleep Mama till we meet again.....


I am going to try and write this again I lost my first draft I wrote, 
One of my fondest memory is on Sunday they would come to our house and bring their kids  we would play so hard together.  One Sunday Julia brought a movie camera and of course us kids were acting silly on it,  we were jumping around and doing cartwheels and acting like movie stars it was always fun when they came. Julia was the most loving persons I knew she loved her mom so much she was always hugging her and telling her she loved her so . Julia had a heart like Jesus, she love everyone  especially her family which meant the world to her, She had a gentle way about her that could take the sadness away you were feeling just by her sweet voice. My heart aches for her so bad I will miss sister. Julia took care of me when I was a little girl  she said I called her mommy  and if she had a candy bar she would save half of it for me.  RIP my sweet sister  you will live on in my heart and someday we will have another big reunion in heaven tell God I love him.

So very many loving memories ...flooding my mind.....Mom and I talked for at least an hour every day....it was our routine ...we'd talk about everything from what we were gonna make for dinner to our intimate beliefs on life after death....I remember her saying shes gonna walk down those golden streets of Heaven one day.....Mama......your there now .....I love you more each second...... and miss you greatly!!!

One day Susan wanted to do something  nice for her Mama as she loved me so. She was busy playing in the kitchen when she got the idea of painting my old wooden chair.  So she got the liquid white shoe polish and painted the old chair white.  Then she came in the living room where I was rocking little baby Mary and nursing her.  Susan said "Mom, I have a surprise for you!  It will make you so happy!"  I said , "What is it?"  She said "Come and see".  I sort of felt like What did you do now?  But I never said a word.  Off to the kitchen we went.  Susan said, "Look, Mom!  I painted your old chair white,  Isn't it pretty? Don't you like it?" I looked at the chair with surprise. I looked at the chair with surprise?  I said, "Oh yes, Susan, it is pretty and I understand how you wanted to do something nice for me, but you should have asked me first before you painted the chair"  I tried to think of how I could tell her and not break her heart, as she thought she did something good. I said. "You see, Susan, the chair is out of place.  It doesn't match the other chairs.  Susan said, "Oh, I see".  I said, "I think we should wash off the shoe polish and keep the chair the way it was". Don't you?"  She agreed and we washed and washed that old chair and I told her not to paint anything until she asked me first.

One of the most blessed days I remember after I took the children to church was while I was cooking fried chicken, that I always fixed on Sunday, was when Susan came out to talk to me--like she always did--and watch me cook.  She had her little bible in her hand, jumped up on the old wooden chair, and said "Mommy, I want to read the bible to you while you cook!".  I said "OK", as this pleased me so.  She started to read, but it was not what the bible said. She was reading every word that the preacher at church had said in his sermon!  She remembered it all!  I looked at her she was reading her bible upsidedown. 

Julia  is my sister. She also was a second mom to me when I was little as my mom had 15 children.
 She always made things fun. She never spanked us when we were in trouble.
She would just talk to us and tell us what we did wrong. And we should not do it again.
and most of the times we did  as she said . But then she left us and got married.
So then she had kids of her own  .I missed her a lot . But we tied to keep in touch over the years.
 We wrote letters telling each other about our lives . Then we got computers and started e-mailing each other. It was faster than letters.  She was a good person. Always thinking of others and do what she could to help them.I can still hear her laugh.
I will miss her dearly.  love ya Julia


aunt Julie was always a sweet lady im glad i got the honor of growing up and being around her she never raised her voice to me and she never was mean to me i loved her so much. RIP auntie gone but never for gotten, ilove you. 

One winter we were snowed in at the farm, the bottled gas man could not deliver the tanks so Mom had no way to cook....that didnt stop her she went out back made a campfire  and cooked us dinner fried chicken n mashed potatoes then later she went out there and made us popcorn as a treat...I love you so much Mommie...

I didn't get the chance growing up to know grandma Julie that well, but I wanted to share how much it meant to me when she came to my older brother Jason's funeral. I'd just turned eleven, and I felt so alone and so confused, and she took the time to be there, to tell me it wasn't my fault, and to say goodbye to the grandson she helped raise.

From her seven grandchildren, Sara, Daniela, Ben, Ajia, Jason, Aliyah (me), and Husain, to her six great-grandchildren, Amanda, Kristen, Abigail, Mila, Roman, and  Emma, she leaves behind a long legacy of caring for others.

A few corrections for the first entry....  Mom & Dad were married September 15, 1951.  She also leaves behind 2 other grandchildren:  Ali and Hossain-- for a grand total of 5!  Please forgive me for not correcting this earlier....  So much to think about at a time like this!  She has numerous nephews and nieces as well and had a heart full of love for ALL of them!

My Mother was born September 10, 1935 in Greenville, Ohio to Zelma and David Smith.  She was the eldest of 12 sisters and 3 brothers.  Because times were hard and the family was so large, she was like a 2ND mother to each of them and loved them all with all her heart and soul. On September 15, 1961 she married her soul mate, Daniel Ellis, and together they had 4 children:  Rosalie, Susan, John, and Mary.  She is survived by 4 sisters:  Marilyn, Sharon, Wavelyn and Linda and 2 brothers: David (Buddy), and Doyle (Junior).  She also leaves behind 4 grandchildren:  Sara, Daniela, Ajia, and Ben as well as 3 great grandchildren:  Mila, Roman, and Baby Emma.  She lived, she loved, and she laughed--and her smile could brighten up a room!  She lived thru the depression, the death of her parents, her beloved husband, and the recent passing of many of her dear sisters and yet she was a pillar of strength and a role model to all.  She taught us to love, that time waits for no one, and to lay our treasures in Heaven.  She loved the Lord and although we know she is sleeping now, when the last trumpet sounds she will rise again to be with our Lord and reunited with all her loved ones for an eternity.  No more pain, no more tears, and no more suffering.  Sleep well, my Angel Mama, you have earned your wings!
