Katherine Auverne Ford

Katherine Ford passed away peacefully on January 27th, 2025, at the age of 85. Born on March 30th, 1939, in Davenport, lowa to Wilfred and Naomi Freudenberg. Kay always wanted to marry and start her family at a young age. She married at the age of 18 and had 3 beautiful children by the time she was 23. Kay was born into a very large Irish/German Catholic family, who had the most spectacular love for family and life.

Kay's favorite past times were gambling, playing card, golfing, bingo, dominos, reading and traveling. She loved to listen to music, was an avid movie goer until the last year of her life, but more importantly Kay enjoyed spending her time with family and friends. Kay touched the lives of many and will be dearly missed by all.

Kay was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley D. Ford. Parents Wilfred and Naomi Freudenberg. Her bothers; Jerry and Billy J. Freudenberg. Her son; Steven Spearman. Her 2 stepchildren; Jerry Ford and Debbie Lundquist. Her step-grandson James Goodman.

Kay is survived by her loving daughters and sons-in-law; Katrina Shook and Timothy Lane, Sherry & Ciaran Farrell. Stepchildren and spouses; Gail & Jim Goodman, Ray and Diane Ford. 4 grandchildren and spouses; Tyson & Stefanie Shook, Steven Spearman, Caitrin Farrell and Fintan Farrell. Step-grandchildren; Delen, Coral, Cooper, Celia, Cori, Donavan, Tiffany. Her great grandchildren: Cody and Kaylie Shook, Steve, Jacob, Freya, Landon and Emma Spearman, Maisey Farrell and 13 step-great grandchildren.

There will be a memorial service at Desert View Funeral Home, Saturday February 15, 2025 at 12:00 PM. 11478 Amargosa Rd, Victorville CA 92392. With a reception to follow at the residence of Katrina Shook, 8987 Hydrangea Ave, Hesperia CA 92344.
