

Lila was born on March 3, 1939, in Rock Springs, Wyoming, to Victor and Gertrude Kalinowski. She took great pride in being the daughter of a coal miner, a heritage that instilled in her a strong work ethic and deep resilience.
Lila began her professional life as an accountant before answering a heartfelt calling to serve others, transitioning to a career as a Certified Nursing Assistant. She worked as a CNA for over 13 years, dedicating herself to the care and comfort of others.
In 1985, Lila met the love of her life, Fred Hill. The two were married and built a life full of love, companionship, and shared purpose.
A devoted and loving mother, Lila was known for her firm but nurturing guidance. She believed in teaching responsibility from an early age and was always there to support her children through life’s challenges and triumphs.
Lila is survived by her daughter Barbara Lennon, her son Andrew Nelson, her sister Carol Koehler, as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren who will cherish her memory and legacy.
A memorial service will be held in her honor on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Victor Valley, where family and friends will gather to celebrate her life.
Lila will be remembered for her strength, compassion, and unwavering love for her family.
