Margaret Olvera Avila, 89, of Hesperia passed away peacefully at home on February 17, 2021. Margaret is survived by her loving children, Virginia Rich, David Avila, Edward Avila, Robert Avila, and Michael Avila. She was also loved by her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Louis Avila, and her eldest son, Richard Avila. Margaret was born January 16, 1932, in Jerome, Arizona before eventually moving to the high desert where she met and married her husband, Louis. They raised six children in the high desert and were active in their church, Holy Family Catholic Church. Margaret retired from Victor Valley Hospital. Margaret had a beautiful smile and personality that touched many people in so many ways. She will be greatly missed by all. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, March 9, 2021, at 10 a.m. at Desert View Memorial Park, 11478 Amargosa Rd., Victorville. Desert View Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
