Martin Gutierrez passed away peacefully on October 29, 2024, at the age of 90. Born on May 18, 1934, he was known for his warm smile, open arms, and an even bigger heart. His boundless love for family and friends touched the lives of many, and he will be dearly missed.

Martin is survived by his three children, Matt, Melissa, and Michael; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Carmen V. Gutierrez, and his granddaughter, Laura Castro.

A life characterized by his passion for sports, Martin loved watching baseball, tennis, and football. He will be fondly remembered for his devotion to family. He was characterized by his strong values of work and the commitment to his Catholic faith throughout his life. Professionally, he had a remarkable career as a space engineer, contributing to several Apollo and space shuttle missions during his 42 years in the aerospace industry.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, November 20, from 4PM to 8PM at Desert View Funeral Home. Located at 11478 Amargosa Road. Victorville, Ca 92392. The following day, November 21, a Rosary will be prayed at 10:30 AM, followed by Mass at 11:00 AM at Holy Innocents Catholic Church. 13230 El Evado Rd, Victorville, CA 92392.
