Mary Jane Mog

Mary was born in Racine, WI on July 4, 1938. She grew up in Racine graduating from William Horlick High School in 1956. She later moved to California marrying her former husband Jerry Honstein and having a daughter Cary Honstein in 1959. In 1966 she met Ronald Mog and they married in 1970. Ronald and Mary had three children together, Rhonda (Mog) Gremer, Ronald Mog, and Paul Mog.

Mary worked for General Dynamics in Pomona, CA as an accountant. In 1978 they moved to Ft. Atkinson, WI where they owned a Goodyear Tire and Auto Center. Mary led the Catholic Women's Council at St. Josephs church where she was involved in various ministries.

In 1984 Ron and Mary moved their family to Apple Valley, CA. Mary worked as an accountant for a local home improvement center until she retired in 1992. Mary was actively involved in her church, community, and children's activities. She later ran a non-profit organization that helped spay/neuter animals until the day she passed.

Mary and her husband were 50's and 60's car enthusiasts. They loved these eras of music, touring the country with the WPC club and Chrysler 300 club hitting every sock hop they could. Mary loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and friends. Mary was a two-time survivor of breast cancer and never allowed illness to hold her back. She had a great love and compassion for her country and was a member of the local women's Republican club.

Mary is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years Ronald Paul Mog, son Ronald Ralph Mog, parents Charles Kronick and Marian (Shoeller) Kronick, brother John, and sisters Barbara, Joan, and Sharon. She leaves behind her daughters Cary Honstein of Norco, CA, Rhonda (Mog) Gremer of Victorville, CA, son and daughter-in-law Paul and Wendy Mog of Hesperia, CA, grandsons John Honstein, Matthew Sherman, John Gremer IV, Joseph Gremer, Camden Mog, granddaughters Abbey Gremer, Sydney Mog, and 8 great-grandchildren. Mary leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on August 17th at 10:00 am at Sunset Hills Memorial Park, 24000 Waalew Rd. in Apple Valley.
