I kept putting off sharing my memories with Norma because they all brought me back to the last conversation we had. We both had just lost very important people in our lives and were going through the grieving process together. She would tell me and remind me each day that it was okay if I needed to cry (which we did a lot of together),  and to just remember to take it one day at a time, one hour at a time, and if that didn't work to take it in minute by minute. To me Norma was more than a coworker she was truly a friend.  She meant so much to me and helping her to and from her car as often as I could really brought joy and warmth to my heart. Norma, you will always hold a special place in my heart and the memories we created together I will cherish forever. 

I’ve only known Norma for about two years, but within that time, Norma and I shared many conversations together. Norma would often stop by my cubicle and tell me many stories about her past. Sometimes, she would lecture me on how us young kids don’t understand the struggles of what it was like when she was younger, but it was always nice to listen to what she had to say. She would also walk by my desk closer to going home and say “oh she’s still here” and then walk back to talk to me. Art and I shared a lot of laughs with her. The mornings won’t be the same without hearing her stop by Art’s desk and asking him if he watched the Lakers played last night. She was a huge basketball fan. Norma was also a very strong person and always had a comeback for whenever Art would make jokes at her. Norma will be missed and the memories we shared will forever stay in my heart. 

I worked with Norma for a lot of years. What a ride that has proved to be.
Remembering Norma, so many things come to mind. Here are some of the things she loved, (in no particular order)  her grandchildren, watching college basketball on TV, her morning coffee , Werther's Carmel candies, very warm weather, checking to see if the stock market went up or down, sharing company history with newcomers and old timers alike, lunchtime games of Solitare on the computer. Norma was one of a kind, and will be missed.

I've worked with Norma for many years now.  In life, everyone has there own story to tell and everyone has similar and different experiences with people.  My experience with Norma was in a word, wonderful!  Norma has always been sweet, kind and caring.  She was quiet much of the time, however, when you got her talking, she could talk for a very long time.  It brings a smile to my face when I think about it.  Norma and I were close and she always shared with me what was going on in her life and I always tried to lift her spirits and put a smile on her face.  She is missed as each day goes by.  However, I  stay strong in the knowledge that although she is not with us, she always will be, everyday, in the hearts and minds of everyone who knew her.  She will live forever and never be forgotten.
