Patricia Louise Bryant Shamblin was born on the 12th of March 1932 in Coal Hill , Arkansas. The daughter of Dawson and Eddie Lou Bryant. She had one brother, Allen Bryant of Coal Hill, AR. Patricia grew up in Coal Hill and graduated high school in 1950. Two years later, she eloped with a young man named Pat Shamblin who had just returned from Germany while serving in the Army. Pat and Patricia had known each other since they were young children.
Patricia and Pat were married on December 19, 1952, in Springdale, Arkansas. They have lived in California for the past 47 years and in the Victorville area for the past 25 years.
Patricia worked many years as a secretary for various Federal agencies, the VA and NASA, when she wasn't caring for her children. Her favorite hobby was reading. In retirement they have enjoyed traveling across the country and have taken many trips to Hawaii, Reno, and Las Vegas. They have also enjoyed the cruises they have taken in the Caribbean. They spent many weekdays at the Victorville Senior Center and were members of the United Methodist Church.
Pat and Patricia have 3 children, Steven Shamblin of Crescent City, Ca, Jeff Shamblin of Pittsboro, NC and Helen Varela of Mesa, AZ. 5 grandchildren, Sean Shamblin of Crescent City, CA, Bonnie Shamblin of Brooklyn, NY, John Shamblin of Seattle ,WA, Joseph Shamblin of Oakland, CA and Emily Chen of Irvine, CA. 4 great-grandchildren, Brooklyn, Briana and Bennett Feld of Brooklyn,NY and Eric Shamblin of Seattle, WA.
Services and viewing will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Victor Valley, 15609 11th Street, Victorville, California 92395, on August 7th, . The Viewing will start at 10AM and Funeral Service at 11AM.
