Bobby Joe Jefferson born on April 2, 1939 to Joseph and Lucinda Jefferson. They both proceeded him in death. He was the 13th sibling out of 15 in the Jefferson clan. He was born in Slick, Oklahoma and in 1943 the family moved to Muskogee, Oklahoma. He later moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma. He graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in 1958. He started working for Overheads Doors and later he became self employed as a carpenter. He also enjoyed playing in a bands called "The Baby Neal" and also played with "Smart Brothers" mixed group gospel and jazz. He leaves behind siblings Lula Mae, Martha, Vernell, Marge, and Gus. He also leaves his beloved 8 children Bobby Jr, Marvin Dale, Daryl Wayne, Gloria Lynn, Angela, Tara, Alesia, and 12 grandchildren.
