

Born September 17, 1947 in Cananea, Sonora, Mexico, she was the daughter of the late Juan and Luz Jerez.
At 15 years of age, she traveled by bus to the US. Soon after she met her husband, Daniel Hernandez and were married in 1966. Their family grew and they raised four children together. Salome was a homemaker who enjoyed nurturing her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Salome also had survived Stage Three Breast Cancer. Salome was a strong woman of faith who loved hummingbirds, butterflies and dancing. She touched many lives and will be forever missed.
Salome is preceded in death by her husband, Daniel “Buffalo” Hernandez, grandson, Brian and great grandson, Isaac.
She is survived by her daughter Ina Meneses and son-in-law Silvestre Meneses, grandchildren Jonathon, Dahlia and Cristian; daughter Danielle Hernandez, grandson Javier Partida-Hernandez, great grandchildren Joseph and Jacob; granddaughter, Salome Verdines-Hernandez and Jason McCoy, great grandchildren August, Xavier and El Ray McCoy and granddaughter Christina Trigueros; son Martin Hernandez, daughter-in-law Mariana Amaya, grandchildren, Lucas, Noah and Ava and son Gerardo Hernandez, daughter-in-law Tracy Hernandez and grandchildren, Elizabeth, Chloe and Miranda Hernandez.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
