My condolences to his family , friends , staff and patients. He was truly an amazing man. When I felt hopeless and felt like no one would ever figure out what was wrong with me he did. He was a kind caring empathic man. Doctors like that are so hard to find now. He always made us feel comfortable and cared for. I shed many tears for him and feel heartbreak for his family. I am thankful to have met him and he will never be forgotten.

I'm in schock at hearing of the passing of Dr Thakker.  He was kind, caring, and a brilliant Dr. He was my Dr. for about 15 years. He always treated me as if I was his only patient 
 He diagnosed my Fibromyalgia which allowed me to receive my disability benefits. He helped me when I was in chemo for breast cancer and one of the drugs I was given cause arthritis to develop in my hand. My tears flow at his loss. To his family I send prayers and know God is keeping him in his loving arms. Thank you Dr. THAKKER for your caring and compassion. I was to see him this month and always looked forward to my visits to him. You will be missed..Ronneane English

My first job was filing medical records in Dr. Thakker’s Office when I was 16.  I still smile thinking about him snapping at me. He taught me so much and was always kind to others. I will miss him greatly. My condolences to Kirtida and his children. I hope to always care about people how he did.

He got me thru a difficult illness in August of 2017 when no one else seemed to know what to do. He was my Dr. for 25 years at least. My condolences to all his family and friends. He will be sorely missed by all.

Dr. Thakker treated my osteoperosis since I moved here in 2011.  He was so very knowledgeable and a deeply caring man.  I will really miss him.

Dr. Thakker was a good man. I was one of his patients and he always caring and helped me a lot. I will miss him very much.

What a compassionate man.  My husband was his patient for many years and met the good doctor as well.  He really cared and listened to my husband and he assured me with kind words and a gentle hug that he would get the disease under control.  He also took care to inquire and help if we thought the charges were too high.  He loved his job and his family. So unfortunate that he will no longer be with us.  Our sympathies to the Thakker family , the DVMG family and all of his patients.

I have been crying off and on for days, even broke down with my Nephrologist at my appointment today. Dr. Thakker always made me feel like I was his special patient. I'm certain he was that way with everyone because he was that kind of doctor. He has treated and monitored my scleroderma since I moved here in 2004, and was always my go to guy for questions on medications, symptoms, research, etc. I am so sorry for the family's loss. I know it is very difficult losing a loved one. I am also very sorry for his colleagues, staff, and fellow patients, who must also feel devastated. I hope the knowledge of how much he was loved brings comfort to all. Dr. Thakker will be sorely missed.

Eighteen years ago Dr. Thakker got my nearly bedridden body working again and just recently diagnosed my husband with an issue that all other doctors had missed.  He was so knowledgeable, kind, compassionate, and empathetic for his patients...there will never be another like him.  I am heartbroken and devastated with his sudden passing and will miss him terribly.  My thoughts are with the Thakker family.

Dr. Thakker will be greatly missed by us. We are so very sad at his passing.  He was our Doctor for twelve years. He meant so much to us. We will always remember him for being the best Doctor that we have ever had and will ever have. We are so sorry for your loss Thakker family. You are in our prayers.

To the Thakker family...Dr. Thakker was the most caring and compassionate doctor for many years to my husband and I. I always appreciated how gentle he was when examining my arthritic hands. He lit up when he was talking about his family.Such a wonderful man, he will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you.

Dr Thakker was an amazing, kind, thoughtful and compassionate Doctor. He has treated my Rheumatoid Arthritis and Fibromyalgia for the past 16 1/2 years every 3 months I saw him I always left his office feeling blessed to have such a loving and caring Doctor to take care of me. I am heartbroken, in shock and disbelief that that he will no longer be walking this earth to not only take care of myself but all of his other patients as well. Dr Thakker you will be truly missed. May you rest in eternal peace, you most diffidently eared your angel wings. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

He was a great doctor and friend. I worked for him when I was pregnant with my son. Always made sure I ate, came to the hospital after delivery. He was also my parent's  doctor. 
 Very compassionate. Even after  25 years o could still go to see him if I had any questions. My heartfelt  sympathies for his wife and 2 daughters.  He will be greatly missed  by all that knew  him.:pensive:

Dr. Thakker was the most caring, understanding, and wonderful human being. He was my mother-in-law doctor for more than 22 years. He was also a doctor to me so I would be able to care for my mother-in- law. THANK YOU for all your support and care for both of us. You will be missed and may you rest in peace. WE were referred to you from our belated Dr. Jacobson(RIP). You were the ONLY one who believed you could help us with the DX. of Lupus. We had been to many Doctors, and I finally said ENOUGH! Back to the one I trusted their judgment. Yes - Unusual for men, but it DOES happen, and there WAS a familial HX. BUT you chose to explore and believe IF this was the case, you and your comrades in arms may be able to help. We were out  of options. Tx was only affective for awhile...BUT you all gave Steve more time , more than I ever expected. He was able to  say goodbye to those he loved. He passed away 24 hrs later and it was peaceful, which is what I had asked God for, having myself seen so many not  so nice deaths go and the terrible reactions from the families.
Thank you for YOUR treatments, and referrals to others that could help...AND YOUR belief that Lupus CAN affect men. All Steve's medical records were requested by several medical institutions, and were gratefully sent in hopes that they will help others.

Dr. Thakker was a light on the community for many of his patients. He was selfless and cared about us he always listened and always took the time to talk to me. I saw pictures of his beautiful wife and daughters and he was truly a blessed man. I will miss him terribly I always spoke about him to many and all the blessings he gave me as a doctor. I thank God for him and for treating my Lupus.

Dr. Thakker was a wonderful doctor that my dad who had terrible Rheumatoid Arthritis went to.  He just loved doctor Thakker and looked forward to his doctors appointment.
