Uncle Thomas, you haven't known me my entire life but you have known me most of my life and while you watched me grow I too was able to see you grow as well. You did your best to impart wisdom to those of us younger than you and  to make sure we knew the significance of family. Hello Family as our hearts are all stricken with grief as our beloved Tom transitioned from this world into eternal rest. I pray that God gives this family the peace upon understanding they need to endure this most difficult time. I pray that you descend your Angels of protection around them to be there to wipe their tears in the midnight hours. O’ Lord  we may not understand your timing but I know that your an Sovereign God who love was unconditional for Thomas. I will hold on to those fond memories very close to my heart and reciprocate the offspring of love he generated to his family that he shown me.  Tom taught me how to love afar and unconditionally family was always a priority to him.  As my heart aches I have to trust in all thy ways and lean not into my own understanding knowing one day I will see Tom again. Thomas and I shared our last two years of high school as next door neighbors. 
We became such good friends, that he and Althea introduced me to her cousin. Unfortunately, it didn't blossom into the beautiful love that you had for one another. 
We did almost everything together, we had girls from the same family, went to the Marines together.
