

Bill departed life on 11/7/23.
Bill was a resident of Ozone Park, New York until the age of 5 when his parents moved to Long Island,
N.Y., a suburb of Massapequa, where Bill also graduated from Plainedge High School in 1966. As our
country was amid the Vietnam war, Bill enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1967 and volunteered for Vietnam
service in 1969. After returning safely in 1970, he worked odd jobs in New York until 1971 when he
moved to California.
Bill is preceded in death by his father, Fred S. Hallett, mother Elizabeth C. Murphy and his grandparents,
William and Elizabeth Murphy. He leaves behind his eldest son and his wife, Lee and Mindy Hallett,
youngest son and his wife, Joshua and Katie Hallett, also his 13 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
