William Lord Pallatt Jr.

William Lord Pallatt Jr. passed on September 17, 2026, at the age of 89, having been born on November 6, 1936, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to William Lord Pallatt Sr and Helen Louise Smith. He is the oldest of three sisters; Barbara, Lynn, Patricia, and two brothers; Thomas and Richard.

He attended schools in Philadelphia, Francis Hopkins grade school, Warren Harding junior High and Frankford high school.

William joined Penna Air National Guard in 1955 and went through 13 weeks of basic training at Sampson AFB New York. He then joined the regular Air Force January 1956 and went to Sheppard AFB Texas for aircraft mechanic school (B-57). From there William went to Eglin AFB. He then went to Yokota AFB Japan where he met and married his wife, Sawae Yamaguchi, and have been married for over 40 years. In 1962 William cross trained in Electronic Countermeasures at Keesler AFB Mississippi, to Glasgow AFB, Montana Kadena AFB, Okinawa Davis-Monthan, Tucson Arizona, Kadena, Okinawa, March AFB in Riverside California, Kadena Okinawa, then to George AFB in Victorville California where he then retired.

William's hobbies were vegetable gardening, avid saltwater fishing (especially for Tuna), and collecting clocks and repairing anniversary clocks.

William is a member of the Victorville United Methodist Church and enjoyed the company of his daughter Evelyn and grandchildren. William is survived by his daughter Evelyn and her husband, grandchildren; James and Melissa Pallat, Haylee and Andrew Quan, Tricia and Dustin Ludwig, and three great grandchildren; Lyndee and Felicity Ludwig and Abigail Pallatt.

William was a resident of Victorville, California.
