Mrs. Ada Norine Murphy Deisher

Ada Norine (Murphy) Deisher, 93, of Vincennes, passed away Thursday evening May 19, 2011 in Good Samaritan Hospital. Ada was born August 14, 1917 in Vincennes to the late James A. and Ada M.(Ridgeley) Murphy and has been a lifelong resident of this area. She was a member of the St. John's United Church of Christ and the Women's Guild of the church. She had been employed as a sales clerk at Gimbel-Bond and Tresslers Department Stores. She was an avid reader and loved to play bingo and have lunch outings with her friends.

Ada is survived by 2 daughters, Betty Lou (Glenn) Pahmeier and Billie Jean (John) Hatton both of Vincennes. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Ada was preceeded in death by her husband, William Carl Deisher, a son Carl Edward Deisher and a sister Loretta Adams.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday in Fairview Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. Kate Lambertson officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Gardner-Brockman Funeral Home 505 Main St. is handling the arrangements for the family.
